Drink an Unsuspecting Small-Town Establishment Dry

The Details:

Due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, there are no plans to hold a DUSTED in the near future. We plan to continue running DUSTEDs as soon as we feel it is safe and responsible to do so. If you have any questions or concerns you can email us at blueandgold@skule.ca.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is DUSTED?

DUSTED is short for Drink an Unsuspecting Small-Town Establishment Dry. It’s where you and a whole bunch of peers get on a bus, drive to a bar in the middle of nowhere, and have a good time. As a bonus goal, we try to consume all the alcohol at the fine establishment.

Where are we going?

Shh - it's a secret.

Do I have to drink?

No! You’re welcome to come along for the fun times and bars often serve non-alcoholic drinks. The ticket cost we charge is to cover the cost of the bus ride.

I can't drink that much; do I have to drink a lot?

Of course not. The Blue & Gold Committee strongly recommends and encourages that all attendees drink responsibly and know their limits.

I'm under the legal drinking age in Ontario (19 years). Can I come?

If you are under the age of 19, we don’t recommend registering for this event, as bars in Ontario cannot legally serve patrons under the age of 19 and many establishments card at the door. Keep an eye out for future DUSTEDs and other Blue & Gold events in the future.

Do I need to know how to drive?

We rent a bus for the night so that attendees can safely get to and from the venue. The ticket price is to cover the cost of renting the bus for all attendees.

Can I bring alcohol on the bus?

Establishments in Ontario do not allow outside alcohol. In addition to this, the bus company we use does not allow for drinking on the bus. To make it to the destination and continue attending future DUSTEDs, we strongly do not suggest attempting this.
